Kaden & The Gate

We had the gate up - so Kaden couldn't get down the hallway. It was also the side of the house where the dogs were. He wanted past the gate to play with the dogs and wasn't very happy that he couldn't get past the gate. He looks like a little monkey in this video!

Oregon Coast

We are off this afternoon for the Oregon Coast. I can not wait for some much needed R&R... well kind of. There is a lot I want to see and do while we are there. I hope we get some great pics of Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. We are also planning to attend the Seafood & Wine Festival in Newport.

February 2010

Has SUCKED so far! As you know, Kaden was admitted to the hospital with RSV. He was there from Tuesday the 9th through Sunday the 14th. He was so good while he was in there though. I can't believe he would sit in the hospital crib so content. There was a lot of suctioning, breathing treatments, and medication. We took shifts staying with him. He has had two follow up appointments. His first was Monday the 15th. I was off work that day and took him. Dr. said he wasn't out of the woods yet but was doing good. Kristen took him back on Friday the 19th. He was doing much better. The Saturday before Kaden came home, I got sick....and Tom was only a day behind me. He got it much worse than I did. I had to take him to urgent care today. He has bronchitis. We need some warm weather!!!

I am looking forward to our trip to the Oregon coast next week. Tom should be well enough by then to go. Fingers crossed. We need to get away!

February 2010

I can't believe it is already February! Where does the time go? Well so far this year has started off pretty good. Tom and I made a trip to California to see our family in Vulare as Tom calls Tulare/Visalia. We took Kaden with us and he was PERFECT! I would take him with us again any time. Kristen and AJ missed him though.

Tom and I are taking a trip at the end of this month to the Oregon Coast. I can not wait! It is such a nice place to visit. We rent a condo on the beach when we go. So much fun!

Kristen and I took some pictures last weekend. I wanted to go take them at this old shack right off the road. We pulled up and Kristen said, "Um....no". I laughed and said come on! They will turn out so nice.....and I was right!

Kaden had to have breathing treatments for a while when he had the flu. He was so cute. He just tried licking the damp air inside the mask.

This is one of the pictures from my FB post of.... Journey of a Lovesac. Mindy was SURE it would fit in her car. I just laughed and took pictures - knowing there was no way it would fit. We ended up putting it in our truck and driving it over to their house.

The Friday before Halloween Kristen brought Kaden in our office for Trick-Or-Treat. After we went to lunch (Kristen, Kaden, me & Tom) at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Kristen feeding Kaden a lemon. He is his great grandmother's child.

Kaden is 4 Months Old

Can you believe it? He is grabbing things with his hands (including my hair), he almost laughs, he blows raspberries all the time now, he knows who his mommy is and follows her with his eyes where ever she goes, he can roll from his back to his tummy, but then gets mad because he doesn't like tummy time. He sits up using a sitting chair, he also loves to sit in his saucer and play with the hanging toys. He uses his feet like hands and loves to play with them. He is starting to have definite wants and lets those be known. When laying down, he tries to sit up. He also likes playing patty cake with me!

I had him outside in the backyard to take these pictures and he would not take his eyes off of the willow tree branches blowing in the wind.

Kaden Bug

Kristen stayed home from work sick today.... and I could have taken Kaden to his aunt Mandy's house for her... but I decided to stay home and watch him so Kristen could sleep. Of course I had to snap some pictures of him. He is just so cute! Some of these made me laugh.

Picking Apples....

Tom and I stopped on our way back from Park City to pick some apples from my grandma & grandpa's house down by the river. It's that time of year!

We have made 3 pyrex dishes of Apple Crisp. I took two to work today, and they were gone by 10:00 this morning. I will have to figure out more apple recipes. We still have about half of this bag left. Tom wants applesauce... but I am thinking he can make it this year if he wants it that bad. I made it last year. Not my favorite.
