Vacation!

Hello. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was nice.

We are getting all the final details for the wedding taken care of and as the day gets closer, I get more nervous. I am very excited but I would not be able to pull this off without the help of our family.

Tom and I have decided we are in need of a much overdue vacation. We were trying to figure out places to go that would be warm in February. We thought possibly Mexico, but I don't want to have to rush getting my passport... so we have decided on Hawaii!
We are staying at a place I have stayed before. Pics below.

Thanksgiving Preparation

The turkey has been prepped - and no - I don't mean Tom! We have it soaking in a brine (recipe courtesy of Micalla & Beneta - thanks guys!). We finished up our shopping last night. Kristen is coming over today to do some baking with me. I have the next 4 and 1/2 days off. I am looking forward to the break.
I can't believe how quickly our family is growing! This time next year Kristen will be married and we will be celebrating the holidays with our new grandchild. Garrett has a steady girlfriend now and she is over quite a bit (we really like her). It looks like the next phase of our lives has started. And I feel very blessed.

Wedding Invitations

The invitations have been mailed! I can't believe we are a month away from the wedding!!!!

Halloween Kitty

Well... I guess I won't be taking the cat out this year for "trick-or-treat". She didn't like her costume! (Just kidding! I was going through baby clothes and the cat was on my lap. It just seemed like a natural progression). Cat was NOT happy!

Idaho Food Bank - Hunger Bowl

TOK (the company I work for) participated in a food raise for the Idaho Food bank. It got interesting when A-1 Plumbing challenged us. It got even better when some of the owners of our company and one of the maintenance guys said they would shave their heads if we had 100% company participation and 9 barrels of food to donate. Well... we had 23 barrels and 100% and $5,000 in cash donations! So - you guessed it! Off with the locks!

We had to be out on the BSU Blue Turf at 4:45 am along with A-1 to see who had the most in donations! It was broadcast on KTVB.com during the morning news. Here are a few pictures.
