At the last Hellewell Family reunion one of my mom's cousins brought onion starts from onions my Great Grandma's parents brought over from Switzerland when they immigrated to the United States. This is not a variety of onion you can buy here in the US. Needless to say.... I was so excited to plant them! I pulled a couple out of the ground this evening. They were starting to get bulbs on the tips.... which means time to plant more!
We have apples this year people! This will be the first year our tree has grown fruit!
The rose bushes are in bloom! I wish there was a way to share the smell of this rose. It is amazing! The first couple of roses that bloomed this year from this bush, were placed upon my pillow by the one I love, and who obviously loves me!
This is a video of Kristen, Garrett and Taylor swimming in their grandma's pool. I love Garrett's laugh at the end - he was so proud of himself for catching Taylor.
We got up early this morning - well maybe not early, but earlier than we would have liked.... and headed downtown to the outdoor market. I really enjoy walking around, checking out the local art, listening to music, and enjoying the morning with the one I love.
Bardenay.... right down the street from my office.... A TOK favorite. We come here quite often for lunch and after work celebrations.
We are excited summer is here.... or is it? I am COLD people!
We are looking forward to our family get together over the 4th of July. I keep asking Brenda if she has told the girls they are coming up here yet. The answer.... no. She said they will bug her every day until they leave if she tells them now.
Garrett & Danika. Garrett wanted to walk around the store with Danika. I told him the only way I would let him was if he put her up on his shoulders and didn't let her down! Gotta love Danika's rocker pose.
